Sinabung Eruption

After sleeping for almost 400 years, Sumatra’s Mount Sinabung volcano awoke in 2010 and then again with multiple eruptions in 2013. In September, thousands of villagers were forced to flee their homes when the volcano sent up huge clouds of gas and ash, and deadly pyroclastic flows.
